Halsted Intel is a one-person firm with a network of trusted collaborators. We do not solicit press, publish client lists, or identify the work. We work by introduction.

Each engagement begins with a conversation. If the matter is one we can help with, we scope the question before quoting the work; most engagements are priced as a flat retainer against a defined deliverable. We work to a written brief and close to a written report. We do not bill in six-minute increments.

Confidentiality is total. Work product is delivered to the principal or to engaged counsel; nothing is retained beyond the engagement.

William Halsted, the father of American surgery, founded the first surgical residency at Johns Hopkins and invented the surgical glove.
